Bond Store Museum The Bond Store is identified as a building of national significance. The museum created in the building is a general historic interpretation of Maryboroughs history, particularly the history of the of the Port of Maryborough and the Mary River. The museum has been created over a number of years and the upper level of 250mē now contains 15 different sections of interpretive displays. Further interpretive displays are planned for the lower level, where the original timber barrel rails are retained. Given the heritage listing of the Bond Store Building none of the original walls can be touched, therefore the displays are freestanding and self supporting.
